Sidewinders Win to Extend Series Lead to 3-0
Riding the 3-hit performance of first baseman Joe P Wood, the Tucson Sidewinders got a road win against the Shreveport Swamp Dragons, 3-1, in Game 3 of the Round 2 today. Wood was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Sidewinders, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 3 games to 0.

In the top of the third of a scoreless game, Wood hit a 2-run home run to put his team ahead.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Wood said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Fair Grounds Field in Shreveport.
