The home crowd came to cheer on their first-place Lexington Thoroughbreds.

Lexington center fielder Bob Allison had a 3-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Tampa Bay Tarpons, 4-3. The High Indy American HIA Central-leading Thoroughbreds are 56-26.

In the bottom of the eighth, Lexington right fielder Wally Post stroked a run-scoring double to right field. The clutch hit put the Thoroughbreds in front, 4-3.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Allison.
