The Toledo Mud Hens beat the Lexington Thoroughbreds, 6-3, at Whitaker Park. The win was due in part to shortstop Kristopher Negron, who was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The victory gives the Mud Hens a record of 50-38.

Toledo used the clutch hitting of Ryan Zimmerman to capture the win. The first baseman drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Mud Hens ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Zimmerman said after the game.
