Tallahassee turned a good effort from starter Rick Porcello into a win over the Toledo Mud Hens at Swayne Field. The final score was 4-2. Danny Coombs converted his 11th save in 12 tries. With the win, Tallahassee upped its record to 54-52.

Tallahassee relied on the hitting of Victor Martinez to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Pirates on top, 4-0. For the game, Martinez had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
