Multi-HR Day for Hall as Pirates Overpower Bulls, 10-2
|
The Tallahassee Pirates bested the Durham Bulls by a score of 10-2, with second baseman Bill Hall getting the main credit. On the day, Hall slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Pirates. Raisel Iglesias, now 1-0, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on 2 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 1. The triumph puts Tallahassee at 59-55 for the season.
Hall put Tallahassee up, 10-2, when he hit a 3-run home run off Gene Nelson in the bottom of the eighth. His 17th home run of the season helped the Pirates capture the win.
"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," Hall told the Tallahassee News. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."
