Pirates Resilient in 4-3 Win Over Durham
|
The home squad pulled out a thrilling walk-off win.
Tallahassee picked up a win at Centennial Field, toppling the Durham Bulls, 4-3. Pitcher Guy Hecker was one of the reasons the Pirates triumphed. Tallahassee has won 4 consecutive games.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and one out in the bottom of the seventh inning. That's when center fielder Dan Gladden, who is tied for 10th in the HIA with a .372 on-base percentage, hit a run-scoring single. The Pirates went on to win.
"We did enough to win," said Hecker.
