Pilgrims Suffer 5-1 Loss to Calgary
|
Calgary starter Marcus Stroman put a stranglehold on the Boston offense. The right-hander had complete command of his curveball in leading the Bronchos to a 5-1 win. With the win, Calgary upped its record to 66-49.
Freddie Freeman, the Calgary first baseman, contributed a run-scoring single in the bottom of the third inning to make the score 1-0, Bronchos. For the game, Freeman went 2 for 4 with 2 singles.
"Marcus -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Bronchos manager Nick Heinemann. "He was the key to us winning."
