Toledo and Jacksonville duked it out and the Mud Hens came out victorious.
The Toledo Mud Hens got a good effort from starter Jim McAndrew in defeating the Jacksonville Red Caps at Swayne Field. The final score was 5-2. McAndrew got the win, improving to 13-5. He allowed 3 hits and walked 0 over 7 innings. McAndrew allowed 2 runs.
Mack Jones wielded some clout for Toledo. The left fielder had a 3-run home run in the bottom of the third for the Mud Hens. It put his team ahead, 5-2, and sent them on to victory. For the game, Jones went 1-2 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
