Grizzlies Score Late, Top Millers, 3-2
|
Fresno Grizzlies starter Kent Greenfield hurled his team past the Minneapolis Millers, 3-2. The High Indy National HIN West-leading Grizzlies are 48-35.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Fresno third baseman Bill Shipke, facing Dave S Smith, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Grizzlies the 3-2 win.
"You've got to ride the highs and the lows in baseball in order to succeed," Greenfield told the Fresno Bulletin. "Right now I'm feeling good, but that don't mean squat for tomorrow."
