Trappers Deal Bears 3-2 Loss
|
The Salt Lake City Trappers picked up a win at Bears Stadium, knocking off the Denver Bears, 3-2. Starting pitcher Bullet Joe Bush played a key role in the triumph. Bush picked up the win for Salt Lake City, going 8 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 9 hits. He now sports a record of 9-7. With the win, Salt Lake City raised its record to 46-36.
The Trappers beat the Bears with some clutch hitting. The double by Eric McNair in the top of the seventh is a good example. With two down, McNair gave his team the lead, 2-1, when he came through with the big hit.
