The Venice Tigers got a sterling performance from pitcher Adonis Terry, but the Minneapolis Millers still prevailed, 5-4. Terry threw 6.2 innings allowing 2 runs. The loss makes Venice 40-57.

Coming to the plate with two out in the bottom of the ninth inning, Minneapolis catcher Hector Villanueva had a chance to be the hero. Facing Venice pitcher Joe Biagini with runners on 2nd and 3rd, Villanueva hit a run-scoring single.

"This place was jumping at the end," Villanueva said.
