Wang Shackles Minneapolis in 3-1 Trappers Win
The Salt Lake City Trappers went home winners at Derks Field, thanks in large part to starter Chien-Ming Wang. Wang stifled the Minneapolis Millers, enabling Salt Lake City to grab the 3-1 win. With the win, the Trappers hiked their record to 59-49.

Wang, a native of Taiwan, was dealing all game. He kept Minneapolis hitters off-balance, while giving the Trappers 7 quality innings. Wang threw 129 pitches, allowing 4 hits and striking out 10.

"Chien-Ming was throwing free and easy," said Salt Lake City manager Brice Jurrens.
