Bears Fall to .500 After 3-1 Loss to Trappers
|
A good time was had by all at Derks Field, where the Denver Bears and Salt Lake City Trappers tangled.
Salt Lake City Trappers pitcher Russ Kemmerer was all business, helping his team muzzle the Denver Bears, 3-1. Larry Miller recorded the save. In save chances, he's now 13 for 18.
Salt Lake City took a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With one out, catcher Bob Schmidt hit a 2-run home run that fired up the crowd.
"Nice to tuck this win away," said Schmidt.
Salt Lake City goes to 61-51. The win puts them 2 games up in their division.
