Millers Torpedoed by Williams in 8-0 Loss to Fresno
|
24-year-old Fresno Grizzlies pitcher Stan Williams had a strong outing against the Minneapolis Millers at Nicollet Park today, keeping them off the scoreboard the whole game. He struck out 11 in the 8-0 win and walked 3 while surrendering 3 hits.
"Hopefully there will be plenty more of these in the future for us," he said.
So far this season, Williams has logged a 5-4 record with a 3.83 ERA. He has started 13 games, hurled 103.1 innings and registered 130 strikeouts and 30 walks.
