Thames Hits Two Homers in 7-2 Win for Minneapolis
Behind the bravura of second baseman Marcus Thames, the Minneapolis Millers topped the Fresno Grizzlies by the score of 7-2. Thames hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Millers. The Millers' win now puts them at 53-59.

Curt Motton had a big 2-run double for the Millers in the bottom of the third inning. With Minneapolis leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a changeup from Rich Hill and swatted a double to left. It was his 23rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Millers ahead, 3-0.

When asked about his performance after the game, Thames said: "Like everyone else, I'm just doing my job."
