Minneapolis Slaps 8-1 Loss on Longhorns
|
Minneapolis Millers pitcher Jason Hammel was all business, helping his team muzzle the Dallas Longhorns, 8-1. Minneapolis now has a 3-game win streak.
One of the biggest contributors for Minneapolis was center fielder Jayson Werth. In the top of the second, with the bases loaded, Werth got a first pitch fastball and hit a 2-run single. That put the Millers on top, 3-0.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Werth.
