Denver Hands Fresno 5-2 Defeat

Spirited fans greeted the Fresno Grizzlies for their clash with the Denver Bears.
Denver picked up a win at Chuckchansi Park, bumping off the Fresno Grizzlies, 5-2. Pitcher Vin Mazzaro was a major reason the Bears emerged victorious. Scott Alexander got the save, his 12th in 15 chances.
Gus J Williams was a prime contributor to the Denver win. He was 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. In the top of the first with one out, the 23-year old right fielder hit a 2-run home run. It made the score 2-0, in favor of the Bears.
"It's a mindset," said Mazzaro. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
With the win, the Bears sit at 58-58.
