|
Dayton Marcos starter John Boozer pitched effectively against the Canton Terriers at Fifth Third Field. The right-hander spearheaded his team's 8-4 win. Boozer picked up the win for Dayton, going 5.1 innings. He gave up no runs on 1 hits. He now sports a record of 6-0. The win boosts the Marcos to 25-26. The loss puts the Terriers at 32-19.
The Marcos got a big at-bat from designated hitter Danny Walton. For the game, Walton went 1 for 5 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a grand slam home run. His 18th home run of the season gave Dayton a 4-0 lead.
