Demons Shut Out Buffaloes, 2-0
|
The Des Moines Demons had to overcome a fine effort from Omaha pitcher Justin Germano to grab a narrow 2-0 win at Sec Taylor Stadium. Germano went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs. Harry Parker closed it out for his 4th save. The first-place Demons have won 4 consecutive games.
The win was a team effort for Des Moines. Third Baseman Randy Jackson was among the key contributors. In the bottom of the fourth, he put his team in front, 1-0, when he hit a run-scoring single.
"Even warm beer tastes good after a win," said Jackson.
