Late Rally by Clamdiggers Secures 3-0 Win
|
Providence Clamdiggers starter Moose Haas worked his magic, as he helped his team defeat the Harrisburg Ponies, 3-0. In 9 innings, Haas surrendered 8 hits, while striking out 9 and walking 1. He allowed no runs. The win for the Clamdiggers raised their record to 41-26.
Gino Cimoli was the walk-off hero for Providence. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Clamdiggers left fielder hit a dramatic 3-run home run to send the teams home.
"There's nothing like the buzz of a walk-off win," Cimoli said.
