Dodgers Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win
|
Justin Duchscherer was superb against Rockford. The right-hander, who is on pace for 234 strikeouts this season, had a cutter that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Dodgers victory. The score was 2-1. The save went to Carl Bouldin, his 10th this season. Nashua has a 5-game win streak, while Rockford has lost 5 in a row.
Duchscherer was effective against the Peaches, seldom allowing a hard-hit ball. The right-hander limited Rockford to just 1 run on 3 hits over 9 innings.
"It'd be nice to win by four or five runs," Duchscherer said, "instead of holding our breath the whole game."
