The Albany Diamond Dogs trumped the Harrisburg Ponies, 7-6, at Bleecker Stadium. Albany third baseman Jim Ray Hart was terrific. He went 2-4 with a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Barney Pelty, the winning pitcher, improved to 9-4. He pitched 7.2 innings, giving up 9 hits and 5 runs, while striking out 8 and walking 3. The winning streak has now reached 8 games for the Diamond Dogs.

Hart had an important at-bat with the bases loaded in the bottom of the eighth, when he hit a sacrifice fly. The Diamond Dogs went on to win.

"This is not a one-man show," said Hart. "A lot of the guys stepped up."
