The Harrisburg Ponies rolled to an easy 7-0 win over the Flint Gems at Union Grounds (Brooklyn) today. Leading the way to victory was starter Steve Blass, who shackled the Flint Gems and held them scoreless on a 4-hitter.

"This is what every pitcher wants to do when they go out there," Blass said in his postgame press conference.
