Haas K's 10 En Route to 2-1 Clamdiggers Win
|
Providence got a first-rate effort from pitcher Moose Haas, who frustrated Rockford hitters en route to a 2-1 Clamdiggers triumph at Beyer Stadium. Pedro Ramos got the save, his 9th in 12 chances. Rockford, at 42-68, has lost 5 straight.
Haas, a native of Baltimore, Maryland, was dealing all game. He kept Rockford hitters off-balance, while giving the Clamdiggers 8 quality innings. Haas threw 117 pitches, allowing 5 hits and striking out 10.
"We did just enough to win," Haas said.
