The Canton Terriers picked up a win at Fifth Third Field, knocking off the Dayton Marcos, 4-2. Starting pitcher Dave LaPoint was an essential part of his team's success. Ken Frailing recorded the save. In save chances, he's now 25 for 27. Canton raised its record to 68-47 with the win.

Pat Listach, who is tied for 6th in the AMA in stolen bases with 19, aided the Canton cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth. For the game, the shortstop went 2-5 with 2 singles.
