Sun Kings Absorb 7-2 Loss at Fair Grounds Field
Shreveport Swamp Dragons pitcher Guy Bush whisked his team past the El Paso Sun Kings, 7-2. In 9 innings, Bush surrendered 9 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 4. He allowed 2 runs. The 4th-place Swamp Dragons lifted their record to 21-25.

Jay Bruce had a big 2-run double for the Swamp Dragons in the bottom of the first inning. With Shreveport leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a fastball from James Baldwin and swatted a double to center. It was his 7th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Swamp Dragons ahead, 3-0.
