Sidewinders Come Back Late, Nip Islanders
The Tucson Sidewinders and Honolulu Islanders obliged fans looking for a good time.

The Tucson Sidewinders topped the Honolulu Islanders, 6-5, in WBL Mid National action at Hi Corbett Field. The standout performance belonged to Tucson third baseman and Flint, Michigan, native Jeff Hamilton. Tot Pressnell got the win, improving to 5-5. He worked 8 innings, giving up 5 runs on 5 hits, while striking out 14 and walking 1. Roger Erickson got credit for the save for Tucson. It was his 3rd of the year.

The game was all tied up in the bottom of the eighth, until Hamilton delivered big-time for Tucson, stroking a dramatic run-scoring double off John Danks. The game-changing hit put the Sidewinders on top, 6-5.

"We'll kick back tonight and enjoy this win," said Hamilton.

The victory gives Tucson a record of 26-23.
