Floundering Islanders Lose 6th Straight
Trenton starter Frank Arellanes pitched well against the Honolulu Islanders at Honolulu Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-3. The winner was Trenton reliever Tim Burke, now 2-0. The loser was John Danks. John Franco earned the save for Trenton, his 16th of the year.

Trenton used the clutch hitting of Tyler Moore to capture the win. The designated hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Thunder ahead, 5-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"It's a mindset," said Arellanes. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."

Trenton is looking good at 37-17.
