Cienfuegos got a terrific game from first baseman J T Snow. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Mobile, 4-3. Snow went 4 for 4 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Mike Moore picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 4-4. Francisley Bueno was tagged with the loss. George Frazier saved it for Mobile.
Late-game drama came in the top of the ninth inning. With two out and runners on 1st and 3rd, Mobile shortstop Dick Tracewski hit a run-scoring single, helping his team get the win.
After the game, Mobile manager Dave Lackland applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
Mobile has now won 3 in a row.
