Flying Squirrels Win at Chattanooga, 3-1
|
The Richmond Flying Squirrels got a good effort from starter Chad Kuhl in defeating the Chattanooga Rats at Engel Stadium. The final score was 3-1. Gerry Staley converted his 5th save in 6 tries. The Rats have now dropped 10 straight.
Richmond relied on the hitting of Drew Sutton to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a solo home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Flying Squirrels on top, 2-1. For the game, Sutton had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
Kuhl said his team "played with focus."
