Swamp Dragons Get Dramatic 7-6 Win
|
The Shreveport Swamp Dragons grabbed a win, 7-6, over the Bakersfield Blaze at Fair Grounds Field. Shreveport catcher B J Surhoff went 2 for 3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. With the win, the Swamp Dragons improved to 31-32.
The clutch hit was provided by Sid Bream. He delivered a walk-off run-scoring single off Clay Hensley in the bottom of the ninth.
"There's nothing like the buzz of a walk-off win," Bream said.
