Rats Tack 3-2 Loss on Trenton
|
The Trenton Thunder got a sterling performance from pitcher Don Nottebart, but the Chattanooga Rats still prevailed, 3-2. Nottebart threw 8.2 innings of 5-hit ball. Felipe Rivero was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 8 of 9 save opportunities. Today's win puts Chattanooga at 26-36, while Trenton falls to 42-20.
Chattanooga left fielder Walt Williams made an impact. He drilled a run-scoring single in the top of the third. In the contest, Williams went 1 for 4.
After the game, Chattanooga manager Ryan Metzler applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
