Swamp Dragons Sneak Past Sidewinders, 4-3
|
Shreveport Swamp Dragons left-hander Joe Willis pitched a good game against the Tucson Sidewinders at Hi Corbett Field, leading his team to victory, 4-3. Gabriel Ynoa picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-0. Tot Pressnell was tagged with the loss. Bob Reynolds picked up the save for Shreveport, his 10th of the year.
An impactful at-bat came in the top of the eighth inning. With runners on 1st and 3rd, the batter, Brock Holt, grounded out, driving in 1 run. It made the score 4-3, Shreveport, and helped them go on to win.
"Joe was throwing free and easy," said Shreveport manager Clint Knight.
Shreveport is now 32-33.
