Howard Goes Off, But Sidewinders Win
Both teams had their chances, but the Tucson Sidewinders eventually prevailed.

The Richmond Flying Squirrels got a superb performance from first baseman Ryan Howard, but the Tucson Sidewinders still won the game, 8-7. Howard hit 3 home runs, while adding 7 RBI and scoring three times. Ricky Horton, credited with the save, is now 5 for 6 in save opportunities.

Tucson grabbed control in the top of the eighth. With two out and a runner on 2nd, Alexis Rios delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 8-7 in favor of the Sidewinders.

"Nothing is scripted in this game," said Rios.

Tucson, at 42-25, is 4 games up in the WBL Mid National INDY N - West.
