White Sox Raise Rally Flag, Beat El Paso, 3-2

The El Paso Sun Kings got a superb performance from pitcher Pete Vuckovich. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Long Beach. The White Sox won the game, 3-2. Vuckovich threw 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball. Dan Collins closed the game out for Long Beach, earning his 5th save. The White Sox go to 33-37, putting them last in the WBL Mid National INDY N - West.
Long Beach relied on the bat of Reed Johnson to get the win. The designated hitter ripped a run-scoring triple in the top of the ninth inning to put the White Sox ahead, 3-2. For the game, Johnson had 1 double and 1 triple in 3 at-bats.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Johnson.
