Sun Kings Stymie Trenton, Take 4-1 Win
|
El Paso and Trenton took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.
The El Paso Sun Kings got a strong performance from pitcher Carl Erskine, who stymied the Trenton offense en route to a win, 4-1, at The Dudley Dome. The win boosted El Paso to 43-34.
Tommy Davis, who is tied for 8th in the AMN in hits with 87, chipped in for El Paso with a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the third baseman had 3 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 2 singles, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
"We'll sip on a cold one and savor this win," said Davis.
