Long Beach White Sox starter Rube Vickers was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Chattanooga Rats, 6-3. Long Beach now has a 3-game win streak.

Long Beach won the game in the bottom of the 13th inning. With two outs and Nelson Cruz on the mound for Chattanooga, shortstop Charlie Lau hit a dramatic 3-run home run, bringing White Sox fans to their feet.

"Was I getting worried?" said White Sox manager Shane Polanco. "Nope." Then he added, with a wink, "There was never a doubt in my mind."
