Spirited fans greeted the El Paso Sun Kings for their clash with the Shreveport Swamp Dragons.

Sid Bream knocked in 4 runs to help Shreveport beat El Paso, 9-7. Bream produced 1 single, 2 doubles, and 1 home run. Picking up the save was Bob Reynolds. He's now 14 for 18 in save chances.

Bill J Barrett, the former first round draft pick , had a direct impact on the outcome. Barrett contributed a 2-run single in the top of the first inning to put Shreveport up, 2-0.

In postgame comments to the Shreveport Times, Barrett said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
