Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Honolulu Islanders and Bakersfield Blaze.

Bibb Falk knocked in 3 runs to help Honolulu beat Bakersfield, 5-4. Falk produced 1 single and 1 home run. The win was credited to Leo Kiely in relief. His record improves to 4-1. Ernie Broglio took the loss.

The game was all tied up in the top of the eighth, until Falk delivered big-time for Honolulu, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Ernie Broglio. The game-changing hit put the Islanders on top, 5-4.

Falk told the Honolulu News: "Sometimes the big stage is not big enough for me."

The third-place Blaze have lost 7 consecutive games.
