Flying Squirrels Pull Off Thrilling 6-5 Win in Extras
Richmond beat El Paso at Parker Field, escaping with a 6-5 win. The win in large part was due to left fielder Ezequiel Carrera. He was 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Mike Krukow picked up the win in relief for Richmond, while Red Evans took the loss. The win makes Richmond 37-46.

When he came to bat in the bottom of the tenth, Johnny Beall had a chance to end it. El Paso pitcher Red Evans had other ideas. But with no outs, Beall hit a solo home run. The Flying Squirrels had the win.

In postgame comments, Carrera said he was glad to contribute to an exciting win.
