|
The Trenton Thunder stymied the Shreveport Swamp Dragons, 6-1, at Fair Grounds Field. Wally Rehg had a good day at the plate. He went 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs for Trenton. Tim Burke earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.1 innings. His record is now 5-0. The Thunder, at 54-29, have a comfortable 14-game lead in their division.
Vic Power contributed a productive at-bat in the top of the fourth. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a run-scoring triple. His at-bat helped Trenton get the win.
Rehg attributed the win to "a well-rounded effort by the whole team."
