Tucson got a decent performance from pitcher Kyle Lohse, but it wasn't enough to beat the Spokane Bunchgrassers. Spokane won the Hi Corbett Field contest, 5-3. Lohse threw 7.1 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. Spokane reliever D J Carrasco picked up the win, upping his record to 2-3. Tot Pressnell absorbed the loss. The Bunchgrassers bumped their record to 45-40 with this win.

Spokane used a timely hit from Scott Fletcher to get the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Bunchgrassers ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it made an impact.

Fletcher called the win "a team effort."
