White Sox left fielder Ozzie Timmons put his stamp on his team's 7-4 win over the Tucson Sidewinders. Timmons hit 2 home runs. He drove in 7 runs and scored twice for Long Beach in the contest. Curt Davis, 8-5, earned the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 2 innings. With the win, Long Beach raised its record to 45-43.

The game ended with a bang. In the bottom of the ninth, with Long Beach trailing 4-3, Timmons belted a knuckleball from Tot Pressnell for a grand slam home run, sending the White Sox to a dramatic walk-off win.

"This place was electric at the end," Timmons said.
