Long Beach right-hander Edgar E Smith pitched his team to victory over the Spokane Bunchgrassers at Blair Field. The final score was 6-4. With the win, the White Sox sit at 50-46.

The White Sox got an important contribution from designated hitter Nolan Reimold, who in the bottom of the first punched a 1-0 fastball into right for a 2-run home run. It was his 21st home run of the season and put the White Sox ahead, 4-0.

"The clubhouse can get insufferable after we lose, so I'm glad we pulled this one out today," Smith told the Long Beach Gazette.
