The Mobile Bay Bears picked up a win at Mercer County Grounds, taking down the Trenton Thunder, 7-3. Starting pitcher Brian Holman was a big reason why. Holman went the distance for Mobile. He gave up 3 runs on 6 hits. The victory puts Mobile at 37-66.
It could have been a different outcome for Mobile, had it not been for Jack J O'Connor, the 24-year old catcher . O'Connor contributed a 2-run single in the top of the first inning to put Mobile up, 3-0.
"I really like what we did out there today," Holman said after the game.
