Stoneman Neutralizes Swamp Dragons
|
Spirited fans greeted the Shreveport Swamp Dragons for their clash with the Long Beach White Sox.
Long Beach White Sox pitcher Bill Stoneman was in fine form, leading his team past the Shreveport Swamp Dragons, 5-1. The victory gives the White Sox a record of 56-52.
The Swamp Dragons had little chance against Stoneman, who overpowered Shreveport hitters and struck out 13.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Long Beach manager Shane Polanco. "It's usually not just one thing."
