Thunder Win in Glorious Fashion, 1-0
|
Left-hander Bill Gallagher mesmerized the El Paso Sun Kings while leading the Trenton Thunder to a 1-0 victory. Trenton reliever Brandon Backe was the winner. His record is now 5-4. The losing pitcher was Dan Wheeler. The WBL Mid National INDY N - South-leading Thunder are 71-39.
Trenton won the game in the bottom of the 13th inning. With one out and Dan Wheeler on the mound for El Paso, left fielder Carlos May hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Thunder fans to their feet.
"We own our own mistakes," Gallagher told a reporter after the game. "But we share our victories."
