The Tampa Bay Tarpons got a strong performance from pitcher Charlie Robertson, who stymied the visiting Lexington Thoroughbreds en route to a win, 11-2, in Game 3 of the Round 2 today. The Thoroughbreds could never get a bead on the right-handed Robertson, who threw 9.0 innings of 6-hit ball. The Tarpons now hold a 2-1 in the best-of-7 series.

Robertson pitched well for Tampa Bay. The right-hander went the distance, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits.

Lexington manager Jesse Green called the blowout loss "ugly."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Plant Field in Tampa.
