Pivotal Game 5 Goes to Host Trappers, 8-3
Salt Lake City Trappers second baseman Martin Prado was the difference-maker at Derks Field today, as he led his club to victory in a pivotal Game 5 of the Round 3. The Trappers took the 8-3 win over the Lexington Thoroughbreds to seize a 3-2 lead in the best-of-7 series.

The Trappers took a 4-1 lead in the bottom of the third inning. Facing Lexington hurler Don Wilson with one out, Prado hit a 2-run home run.

Thoroughbreds manager Jesse Green did not take questions after the game, telling assembled reporters that he would hold a press conference "if and when we win the Round 3."

The next game is set to be played for Sunday, September 10th , 2000 at Whitaker Park in Lexington.
