Gorsica Crafts 3-0 Shutout Tuesday, May 1st , 2001 The Louisville Redbirds met their match today in Cincinnati hurler Johnny Gorsica. He kept them guessing the whole game and spun a 3-hit shutout. "He just worked us over," Louisville skipper Bobby Ward said. "He probably didn't even need a shower after the game -- he barely worked up a sweat." In the 3-0 victory, Gorsica whiffed 5 and gave up no walks. This year, Gorsica has fanned 35 in 34.1 innings and collected a 3-1 record with a 4.72 ERA. |
